Class structure will be a mix of explanation, demonstration and hands on teaching. Better Beginning Babies class will use only gentle positive methods, teaching owners and puppies both how to make the right choices to increase behaviors we like. Skills such as “marker word training,” greeting people nicely, mouth manners, place training, coming when called, and walking nicely on a leash will all be introduced while puppies learn to interact with other people and puppies. Puppies need to wear a flat buckle collar or an approved corrective harness and have a standard 3-4 foot leash. No extendable leashes slip or choke collars, or pinch collars will be allowed. Owners need to bring lots of treats, a towel or blanket for the puppy, and quiet toys for puppy. NOTE: These classes fill up fast.
